UKFast is a true leader in the ISP industry. (The awards they have won prove this!) Their network performance is above and beyond the data providers I've hosted with in the past.
Support is great and very efficient, I can ring up whenever I have a question and an engineer is always willing to help me solve the problem.
Bandwidth speeds are excellent and I have yet to find reason for complaint! Their prices are very reasonable - I do not wish to disclose how much a month I pay for hosting but I will tell you that all their prices are extremely competitive.
I would definitely recommend UKFast to everyone!

Bad service a good example of this is UKFast. A company whose service is so bad that is a miracle they remain in business. How a business such as UKFast are able to claim they provide good customer service when they leave the answering of their telephone to an agency who are not themselves then able to contact UKFast is astounding. A business such as mine that relies on UKFast to provides 24/7 service and then discover there web service is of the air at midday Sunday and unable to contact UKFast at all the service is still down at 1pm Monday.
Dear reader I will let you draw your own conclusions.
Here is to the demise of UKFast.

Watch out!! I was persuaded to switch to UKFAST with lots of promises and good sales pitch. In the past 4 months I’ve had 3 outages and 1 big one that lasted 2 hours.
But the main problem I’ve had with them is with backups. One of the reasons I switched was due to the fact they offer a full server backup facility so any problems, then they can do a full system restore. Sounds great…. Except the backup space is very limited. You get 25GBs of backup space which sounds a lot but very quickly this runs out. This 25GB includes ALL files on your hard drive (including swap files, system restore state files, log files etc etc.) On my system the initial full backup size was 12GB. Then for the next 6 days an incremental backup is done (which again includes swap files, system restore states etc). Each incremental backup was using 2.3GB!!! go figure. So within the 7 day backup period you reach your quote and the backups STOP. They then will charge you £75 per month per 25GB of ex...

I've been working with UKfast support for about three days now to set up what is everywhere else a simple script to install a very common php content management system.
For whatever reason, the organization I work for decided to go with Windows servers to run their other open source php websites on. Now I'm creating a new one on this system and getting it to create a new website has turned into days (not hours) of calls to support people at UKfast who have still not managed to allow the server to run a cgi install file, that's been tested out.
A while back I talked to their sales department about transitioning us to Linux servers and the costs they wanted to toss in were ludicrous compared to the competition and though our contract is lapsed and we're now month to month, they claim that we will owe them three months payment if (read: when) we transfer elsewhere.
