I've been with Dataflame for about 16months. There service is very good and I have suffered no downtime with my web site. The one problem I had accessing my control panel was resolved within 5 minutes by the support agent in live chat. I recommend Dataflame to anyone seeking a cheap and reliable host....

I've been with Dataflame for just over a year. My account just renewed automatically, but I didn't have the money in my account to cover it, so the first I heard of it was them threatening court action, plus they had added on a hefty fine. I was told I could speak to someone until I paid the bill. Then when I paid the bill, it turned out they had deleted all my files, but when I told them they said my files were never there and their records are never wrong.
I'd stay well away from these guys....

I had signed up with Dataflame hosting company for a few hours and didn't manage to upload to the ftp server and their support staff couldn't resolve it either, so I canceled and now they say I'm not entitled for a refund.
Their sales team are obviously not familiar with UK consumer law which is strange for a supposedly UK company:
They said:
As listed in our Terms and Conditions you are not entitled to a refund and you agreed to this when you signed up to Dataflame.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

We have recently had an issue with the server that we are using at Dataflame and everthing went off website/mail etc. It took them nearly 2 days to bring it back online. It was lucky that one of them was a holiday because 2 days without either a website or mail would of been difficult for us. My major gripe so far is the lack of communication on this issue. Otherwise support calls are either dealt with by mail, online or via phone.

I first signed up with Dataflame almost three years ago for a shared hosting package. Until recently my website was very stable and did not experience any problems. However, recently I continually experience max_connections and max_questions exceeded errors on my web pages, causes it to grind to a halt.
You may be thinking it is my MySQL queries on my web pages not being closed properly. In fact that is what Dataflame suggested it was. However, after checking every page on my site to ensure my queries were getting closed, one of their support staff admitted to me that the server I was hosted on was overloaded with too many websites and databases. As a result the servers resources were being stretched and my max_questions and max_connections were having to be limited.
Another problem I am experiencing is very slow FTP and failed FTP connections from Dreamweaver and my MySQL client Navicat. These problems are experienced on two different PCs using two different Internet connections...

Appalling customer service. Consistently rude, incompetent and complacent. They twice attempted to charge arbitrary fees and dismissed my complaints in a very unprofessional manner. Look elsewhere if you don't want to be patronised by 'support staff'....
